The Associate Content Director (ACD) supports Content Directors (CDs) with client and research management. As such, the position requires client management, project management, and overall research skill. We are seeking highly-motivated applicants with the right combination of research and project management experience, preferably within the education sector. A successful candidate will be interested in making a long-term contribution to a growing organization. This position will report directly to a practice area specific Content Director. This role offers an optional development path to the Content Director role.
Responsibilities:
The Associate Content Director (ACD) supports Content Directors (CDs) with client and research management. As such, the position requires client management, project management, and overall research skill. We are seeking highly-motivated applicants with the right combination of research and project management experience, preferably within the education sector. A successful candidate will be interested in making a long-term contribution to a growing organization. This position will report directly to a practice area specific Content Director. This role offers an optional development path to the Content Director role.
- Complete fast turnaround requests (e.g., project updates, executive summaries, capstones, scopes, RAP development)
- Edit projects and draft client delivery emails
- Complete average to difficult generalist research projects (on internally extended timelines)
- Fully manage a small number of research projects (e.g., up to 2-3 projects concurrently) on behalf of CDs – beginning with generalist projects and eventually managing survey, qualitative, and quantitative research projects
- Support CDs with parts of more complicated or multi-phase research projects (e.g., make survey updates, oversee survey fielding, draft warm outreach and invitation emails for qual or survey projects)
- Shadow partner calls (ideally becoming actively involved with a few specific clients)
- Assist with post-call tasks (e.g., pulling library reports, drafting SOWs, logging projects, general follow up, initial project scoping, mapping out how to tackle multi-phase research projects)
- Provide back-up coverage for CDs (for specific clients or projects) when CDs are out of office. Eventually aim for managing up to 10 clients when CDs are out of office for more than three consecutive days.

Qualification
This is an early career management role. Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of research experience and limited client management experience.

Compensation
Hanover Research strives to create compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, equitable and fair. The compensation range for this role at the company is $62,080 - $93,120. This role is also eligible to participate in our variable annual bonus program with gross earnings potential of up to $10,000. This discretionary bonus is based upon both financial performance and individual performance. Please note that the base salary offered is contingent on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Our base pay range is determined by the role and the market.
