TriStar StoneCrest is a 109-bed, full-service, acute care me! dical center with nearly 500 employees and more than 300 physicians on staff. StoneCrest, TriStar Health’s newest hospital, offers a full array of services including emergency care, general surgery, cardiology, women’s services, neurosciences, sleep services, orthopedics and oncology. The Director of Laboratory Services include:
Demonstrates ability to manage multiples tasks and projects in a productive manner.
Demonstrates interdepartmental support and teamwork through a supportive and collaborative approach.
Ensures staff com! pliance with policies and procedures, mandatory requirements, ! and licensure and certification requirements.
Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives as listed in the Performance Management Plan.
Establishes orientation and annual competency criteria for staff and ensures successful completion.
Demonstrates ability to identify strategic management initiatives.
Communicates in a professional manner.
Responds in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff, or patient issues.
Serves as a role model.
Utilizes Medical Technology skills and training to perform lab tests
Qualifications
Qualifications of a Director of Laboratory Services include:
Bachelor’s Degree
Licensed with the State of Tennessee as a Medical Technologist â€" Supervisor License
Three to five years supervisory experience desired
Minimum of five years experience in a hospital setting laboratory setting
