Sr. Director Supply Chain

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the development and execution of strategy for supply chain and materials management for the multi-specialty division, with the ultimate goal of reducing ! costs and improving services to our corporate office and surgery centers.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with Operations on vendor selection and evaluation of medical-surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals and physicians preference items.
Work with VP, Supply Chain to negotiate and administer national purchasing agreements
Assist in implement e-Purchasing and inventory management technology and process
Oversee purchasing for new center development
Evaluate and manager contract compliance and performance
Develop and administer national purchasing policies
Manage a team of Materials Managers
Implement inventory control best practices
Regular and reliable attendance required
Successful candidate will pass a background check and drug screen.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent of 10 or more yea! rs of progressive experience in a supply chain or materials ma! nagement position is required. CMRP certification preferred. Experience with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO), preferably Healthtrust preferred.
Other Qualifications:
Experience leading conversion of physician preference items to drive contract compliance. Strong customer orientation. Experienced leader and manager in a team oriented environment. Strong relationship management skills. Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekend! s as approved in advance.
