VitalSource®,is hiring a Billing Analyst to contribute to our Finance team located in Raleigh (hybrid) or remotely.
We are actively hiring a part-time role (average 20 hours per week) that is responsible for supporting the operations of the accounting department by ensuring customers are invoiced timely and accurately according to contract terms.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3+ years of work experience as a billing analyst or similar role.
- 1+ year of advanced experience in Excel (creating spreadsheets to include formulas and data manipulation).
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Exceptional knowledge and experience with excel.
- Ability to work independently and to exercise initiative to define and resolve problems.
- Organizational skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to understand the implications for the wider enterprise.
- Ability to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands.
- Ability to speak, write and read the English language.
- Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations.
- Ability to apply new knowledge, technology and procedure to job responsibilities.
- Ability to meet and maintain performance objectives (standards).
- Ability to work during normal company operating hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing billing process for multiple contracts including timely and accurate monthly invoices.
- Analyzing all billing procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Managing customer invoicing portals.
- Reviewing invoices to ensure billing accuracy.
- Communicating with clients and other departments, resolving issues, and providing clarifications.
- Ensuring clients' billing accounts are set up correctly and according to their requirements.
- Preparing reports and meeting billing deadlines.
Salary: $30-$35 per hour
