We are looking for an enthusiastic emergency clinician to join our team. This is an ideal schedule for an emergency clinician looking to work in a premier specialty facility but also have plenty of time off to enjoy the Smokey Mountains and numerous lakes in the area. We do not have state income tax and the cost of living is much lower than most areas of the country.
This is a safe area with excellent schools. We are the professors and teaching facility for the new LMU College of Veterinary Medicine and our ER doctors team-teach the emergency curriculum for the LMU veterinary technology program.The Animal Emergency and Specialty Center sees over 10,000 cases annually. We function exclusively as a small animal emergency and critical care hospital and specialty referral center. Our ultra-modern facility provides diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including mechanical ventilators, pulse oximetery, end-tidal CO2 monitoring, Doppler blood pressure monitoring, Snyder O2 cage, access to CT and MRI, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, rigid and flexible endoscopy, brachytherapy, laparoscopic and orthopedic equipment.
Our in-house laboratory has blood chemistry, blood gas and electrolytes, and coagulation testing. We are home to one board certified criticalist, who is also board certified in anesthesiology, one residency-trained criticalist, one board certified surgeon and one residency-trained surgeon, one oncologist and four emergency doctors, three of whom were internship-trained.
