Training in wound care offered for all interested physicians! As the incoming physician, you’ll provide wound and limb salvage services at bedside to patients in skilled nursing and rehab facilities. Practice offers a customized regular weekly schedule with no nights, no weekends, no holidays and no call. Work a minimum of 25hours a week Mon-Fri 7am-4pm with a schedule set to match your life-style. However, you must be able to commit to at least 3 days per week and they must be the same 3 days each week.
During these hours you will round on patients at Skilled Nursing Facilities, Long Term Acute Centers and/or Rehabilitation Hospitals. Within each facility you will work with and lead a team of fully staffed nurses and ancillary support staff. You will also have a designated wound care nurse who will have all your patients organized and who will accompany you on your rounds and carry most of the supplies required. When you are fully ramped up, you should see approximately 15-25 patients in 2-3 facilities (typically 75-125 patients per week full-time or 60 patients per week part-time) with assigned facilities conveniently located to your residence. We are looking for physicians who enjoy a focused, procedure oriented practice with a background in family practice, internal medicine and general surgery. Experience not required, as you will be provided with training in the company’s treatment model.
This is a contract position offering a very competitive 100% productivity based compensation, as well as malpractice with tail. On average, physicians working with this company earn between $800 - $1,000 per day ($160,000 - $250,000 per year). Additionally, there is no lag time/waiting for re-imbursement, clinicians are paid on the 12th of each month, for the previous month’s work.
