Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Break reliefs are responsible for providing breaks and lunches to the other positions in the department and must monitor lunches to ensure policy is adhered to and enforce our policy.
Rapid Pack: Perform all requirements necessary to run the Rapid Packs, Operation of conveyor belts and delivery of product to the RPs, Operation of Metal Detectors and documentation, Operation of Kotch Labelers, Operation of Markem printers, Loading and changing rolls, Understand make sheets and run multiple customers simultaneously while minimizing waste and labeling errors, Track and record materials usage & lot numbers, Track and record dept downtime, Understand and perform CIP / clean up as needed, Perform other duties as assigned
Sampler: Be trained and understand HACCP & GMP policies and procedures. Performs metal detector checks and quality monitoring. Trained to and signed off on MD SOP, Misshape & product handling SOP and Job Description SOP. Collect cheese samples from the pack line in a sanitary fashion to ensure no contamination of samples. Test other samples (i.e. curd or ribbon samples) as needed in a timely fashion, Correctly label and deliver samples to the lab, Maintain neat, accurate records of test results, Provide break / lunch relief for brine in / out as needed for P1 and P2, Provide clean up assistance in the brine room per master sanitation schedule (MSS), Maintain workstation, cabinet, sink etc. to keep area clean, neat and sanitary, Perform other duties as assigned.
Tail Off: Operate Scale Fusion, keep accurate documentation of vat, recipe and customer information, case labelers, loaf labelers, in motion scales, palletize various cases of cheese up to 50lbs at the rate of 12 cases per minute, operate case erector, case tapers, understand scan guns and scales work w/whs persons. As of 8/1/2021, SAP has been introduced to the Tail-off area and this is another aspect of the job the candidate will need to accurately perform.
Physical Demands: While wearing all appropriate safety and GMP equipment - employees in this position are frequently required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee will repetitively lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift and move up to 70 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Mental Demands: This position frequently requires mental/analytical demands. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret operating manuals, screens, displays and accurately interpret operating screens and record data. Ability to observe changes in the system and understand and make decisions based on observations. The ability to work effectively under pressure is critical to this position.
Environmental Demands: While performing job duties of this job, the employee will be subject to temperature extremes in various parts of the facility. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, the employee will occasionally be exposed to hazardous noise in various locations inside the plant.

Hourly Range: $34.57 to $41.38
Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
