Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst.

In this role, the successful candidate aa member of the Finance Partners team, the Financial Analyst (FA) is responsible for general financial analysis and reporting to support the overall financial results and effectiveness of
academic, mission and corporate departments. The FA will be tasked with unique and processs hifting
projects across finance, accounting and data management to help improve operations and
find innovative solutions to existing or new problems and processes. Success in this role relies as
much on technical knowledge as it does on communication skills, as the FA will be visible to
FPAB Leadership and will need to explain complex ideas in straightforward language. The FA
reports directly to the Finance Project Manager, FPAB with a focus on projects related to
reporting improvements and data-heavy ad-hoc financial models. Support will also be provided
to other members of the Finance Partners team.

Job Responsibilities:

. Gain an in-depth understanding of key business drivers, issues and risks to be able to
analyze financial performance, as well as perform, review and develop improvements to
existing financial practices across the academic, mission and corporate departments.
. Prepare reporting packages and financial templates with detailed analysis based on
specified requirements from leadership.
. Frequent communication with leadership and ability to present complex data and financial
concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
. Interact with other FPAB teams and leadership, as well as Departmental Administrators
and Business Managers within the academic, mission and corporate departments.
Involvement on long-term and short-term projects that may include a multitude of data
formats and sources, cooperation with various stakeholders, and problem solving with the
available data.
. Assist in data visualization efforts, translating financial information in meaningful and
transformative ways for training and decision-making purposes.
. Participate in annual budgeting and recurring forecasting activities.
. Monthly and ad-hoc P&L variance analysis across academic, mission and corporate
departments.
. Large scale Excel data analysis and use of advanced formulas.
. Run and manage queries in PeopleSoft Financials.
. Analyze manual workflows and help with automation solutions.
. Contribute energetically to an environment of effective financial reporting and analysis,
time utilization and prioritization, compliance with regulations, and adoption of leading
practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree and 1-3 years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination.
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
Possess strong customer service and problem solving skill sets.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $63,935.04 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
