Purchasing Manager [United States]


 

A Danbury business is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our team.

Job responsibilities include overseeing all vendor management and selection activities, including pricing and delivery negotiations. Ensure continuous products/ingredients availability for all produced products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement sourcing strategies to support sales and manufacturing objectives.
  • Place orders and ensure timely deliveries and pickups of ordered products.
  • Develop supplier base to meet current and future needs.
  • Manage suppliers’ cost, quality, delivery, and payment terms.
  • Implement creative sourcing strategies based on company needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process.
  • Maintain and promote sound relationships with key suppliers.

Must be comfortable working alone and as part of a team. Should have experience using Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel) and standard office equipment/technology.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
