A Danbury business is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our team.
Job responsibilities include overseeing all vendor management and selection activities, including pricing and delivery negotiations. Ensure continuous products/ingredients availability for all produced products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement sourcing strategies to support sales and manufacturing objectives.
- Place orders and ensure timely deliveries and pickups of ordered products.
- Develop supplier base to meet current and future needs.
- Manage suppliers’ cost, quality, delivery, and payment terms.
- Implement creative sourcing strategies based on company needs.
- Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process.
- Maintain and promote sound relationships with key suppliers.
Must be comfortable working alone and as part of a team. Should have experience using Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel) and standard office equipment/technology.
