About the NLC
The Northern Land Council (NLC) was established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act in 1976, to assist Aboriginal people in the Top End of the Northern Territory to acquire and manage their traditional lands, waters and seas.
Nearly 50 years on we continue to serve over 50,000 Aboriginal people of the Top End and remain committed to enhancing Aboriginal peoples social, political and economic participation by supporting their aspirations and amplifying their voices on a range of issues impacting on their lands, seas, culture and communities.
About the Role
This role is responsible for the development and delivery of learning and development initiatives and solutions, to build a flexible and adaptable workforce to grow employee competency and organisational capability
Responsibilities
- Partner with the business to understand its strategic and operational priorities and provide advice and support to guide key stakeholders through the efficient development and delivery of learning initiatives and tools.
- Provide advice and support toward the development of individual learning and development plans, procedures, templates and tools.
- Employ project management principles to research, design, develop, implement, deliver and evaluate innovative and cost-effective learning and development solutions to meet business needs.
- Undertake stakeholder engagement and coordinate planning, procurement and logistics for the delivery of externally delivered training.
- Ensure all training development, work activity, training evidence/ outcomes are accurately captured in the relevant systems, and generate reports as required.
About you
To thrive in this role you will have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent and relevant experience with capability and willingness to obtain) with demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in the research, design, development and delivery of training programs for both urban and remotely located staff.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects and engaging with stakeholders to high quality learning and development outcomes based upon strategic and operational business objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in presenting, facilitating and coaching to achieve operational capability outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience drafting reports, communication material and other written documents using a range of authoring tools including Microsoft Office suite
Remuneration and Benefits:
- Full-Time, Fixed Term contract (1 Year)
- Location: Darwin
- Salary: $92,336 - $103,600

- FBT exempt salary packaging benefits pay
- 13.5% superannuation contribution
- 5 weeks annual leave & 17.5% annual leave loading
