Job Description
This Business Process Specialist role supports the Transportation team in training, documenting, coordinating, and improving processes in our business to support the work done by our employees. This role will improve ways of working by creating improved business processes in areas of our business that lack process standardization. This role will support in driving change and delivering measurable value to an organization through clear process improvement, establishing documentation, training of team members, and driving of best practices through a clear framework.
A day in the life . . .
- Provide the structure, roadmap, documentation, and training for a comprehensive vendor health framework for the drop ship program.
- Drive adoption of change and movement from ad hoc to repeatable and reliable quality output.
- Develop the training strategy and the detailed modules to reinforce the changes. Train the trainers and expand on team training expertise.
- Create a centralized content management system for drop ship team knowledge.
- Provide mentorship and training on best practice for content management and technical writing.
- Support our reporting and analytics resources with root cause analysis and mitigation measures to minimize existing dips in key reporting metrics (SOT, OTD and Cancel Rate) as well as proactively addressing destructive trends before they impact metrics.
- Partner with Supplier Specialists and internal transportation teams on issue tracking and resolution support.
- Apply change management expertise to support teams who have not adopted a structured framework enabling them to work through outcome driven processes versus ad hoc.
- Provide project artifacts aligned to program goals and business goals and ensure scope is clearly defined.
- Communicate with all stakeholders on risks, mitigations, project status and course corrections.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation for different audiences.
- Develop process documentation including swim lane, SIPOC diagrams, and process maps.
- Collaborate with Transportation managers to support areas needing standardization of process with supporting documentation for good business continuity.
- Support ad hoc requests from leadership, as needed.

- Corporate instruction background with experience in writing technical documents supporting standardized processes
- Practical understanding and experience in Supply Chain
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral; strong follow up methodology
- Skilled in the visual, written, and verbal communication
- Proven ability to drive and own complex business processed without the need for consistent direction
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, Confluence, Sharepoint, data visualization
- Strong Organizational skills; attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with building and driving process frameworks in areas where there have not been standardized processes in the past
- Curiosity around new ways of working that will unlock potential for a team
- Basic use of Tableau or other BI analytics software

Washington: $69,000 - $110,500
