Seeking an experienced Director of Cardiovascular Services. Must have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing required; Masters in Nursing or healthcare related field preferred. Must demonstrate thoroug! h understanding of concepts of cardiac care to include diagnos! tic and therapeutic intervention related to treatment of acute coronary syndrome. Previous and progressive experience in a nursing leadership and cardiac related service (emergent, critical, clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic) required.
Nursing: Minimum of five (5) years progressive growth in leadership/management experience. Nursing: current license or eligible for licensure in the state of Tennessee.
The Director, Cardiovascular Services, functions in collaboration with administration and is responsible and accountable for managing and coordinating clinical activities as assigned. The Director of Cardiovascular Services provides direction for the Cardiology and Cardiac Services in a manner which provides high quality services. Utilizes strong managerial skills in planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling to effectively manage various resources.
Provides leadership and direction to departmental personnel. Evaluates operations a! nd employee performance. Effectively communicates with other departments to attain the highest quality and most effective provision of service to patients, family, physicians, and community. Works very closely with the Cardiologists, Vascular Surgeons and all of the team members within the Cardiovascular Service Line.
