Clinical Coordinator The Joint & Spine Center
TriStar Souther! n Hills has been a leader for over 30 years in a wide range of state of the art healthcare, including emergency services, cardiology, vascular surgery, orthopaedics and oncology. Serving our community since October 15, 1979, TriStar Southern Hills continues to grow and evolve. Since that time, the hospital has grown to 132 beds and now serves three counties, including Davidson, Williamson and Rutherford. TriStar Southern Hills medical staff currently has over 300 members representing more than 20 specialties. All are board certified or board eligible. We are a certified stroke center, which is enhanced by our new whole body, 8-slice per second CT scanner. In 2003, we were recognized again as an accredited chest pain center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers and Providers. We continue to provide quality heart care services, including everything from stent placements and angioplasties to cardiac catheterizations.
The Joint and Spine Center is a 20-bed boutique conc! ept center dedicated to the wellness of patients who require a! ny type of spine, orthopedic or neurosurgery procedure. We treat acute and degenerative conditions which affect the spine and joints. The Joint and Spine Center offers patients the most advanced techniques and treatment to manage and resolve spinal and orthopedic conditions. The Joint and Spine Center is designed for comfort and healing. Our specially designed post-operative unit specifically meets the needs of patients and their families following surgery in a hotel-like setting.
TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator - The Joint & Spine Center
Responsibilities:
The Clinical Coordinator assists the Director with all department activity to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities with the long range plan, mission, vision, and values of the hospital. Assist in coordinating the departments participation in Performance Improvement activities to assure ! continuous Quality Improvement. Ensures that nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluates the effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
- Provides clinical support to the nursing staff.
- Demonstrates the facilitys Standards of Performance, H.E.A.R.T values, and Patient Promise.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the competency validation checklist(s).
- Successful completion of required pharmacology test(s).
- Demonstrates age specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients.
- Ensures the privacy of our patient and confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Meets mutually-agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the Performance Management Plan.
- Utilizes nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients
- Demonstrates ability to perform! technical skills and procedures
- Documents all patient care
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills
- Responds appropriately to emergency or crisis situations
- Promotes customer service initiatives
- Assists coworkers to meet patient needs.
- Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care or the services delivered.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
- Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patients care which results in patient harm.
- Attends inservice presentations, and completes mandatory education, including, but not limited to, infection control, patient safety, quality improvement, MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety
- RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing fr! om a compact state
- 2 years of experience preferred.
- BLS from the American Heart Association.
- Previous Management experience preferred
