Position Description:
Bartlett, TN - The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for existing products with in an industrial environment. EOE M/F/D/V
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Perform an analysis of manufacturing processes including Process Capability utilizing Six Sigma and DOE concepts for continuous improvement.
- Perform analysis and develop production line and cell layout, utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts such as 5S, line! balancing, work flow, ergonomics, etc.
- Develop and r! evise documentation as required for new or existing products, including, BOM, work instructions, routers, or other documentation as required.
- Confer with vendors to determine and evaluate product and equipment specifications and requirements for MRO and BOM components and materials.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for Management decisions.
- Communicate with Managers, Engineering, and other Staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other considerations as needed to facilitate production processes.
- Work with Senior Engineers on new product projects as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- A Bachelor’s degree and 1 to 2 years of related experience, or 5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of educat! ion and experience is required.
- The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations is essential.
- Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Managers, clients, customers, and the general public is vital.
- Must be able to work mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations is necessary.
- Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, dia! gram, or schedule form is required.
- Must possess knowledge of ! Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Solid Works design software, Six Sigma Minitab, and Quality Companion.
