ABOUT THE FACILITY
Greely County Health Services includes an 18-bed critical access hospital, two rural health clinics in Tribune and Sharon Springs and a 32 bed nursing home. The five member board is appointed by unified City/County supervisors. Gr! oss revenues = $11 million with net revenues = $8.1 million. P! roviders include three board certified Family Physicians, two advanced NP, two Physician Assistants, a behavioral health provider, a physical therapist and a part-time contracted general surgeon. Hospital services include adult day services, cardiac rehabilitation and medical laboratory. Outpatient clinics offer gynecology, cardiology, and orthopedics. Other services available locally are laproscopic surgeries, pain management, mammography, ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI and CT scans. Software vendor conversion to Healthland made in 2012. GRHC is located in Tribune, Kansas with a service area that covers a large area of western Kansas including the primary communities of Greeley and Wallace Counties. Greeley County is located on the west! ern border of Kansas, 3 1/2 hours from Denver, Colorado and 6 hours from Wichita, Kansas. THE OPPORTUNITY
The Chief Financial Offi! cer is responsible for administering the general accounting, patient business services, including third party reimbursement, financial and statistical reporting functions of the hospital in accordance with established policies and accounting procedures. This position works collaboratively with the CEO and governing Board in the development of long and short range hospital operations plans and capital budgets as supported by the hospital's long and short range objectives. The CFO monitors the hospital's fiscal performance on realizing its established plans and objectives and identifies and reports undesirable trends with remedial action recommendations to the governing Board for final review and approval. The CFO assumes a lead role in exploring and implementing means of managing and improving the financial performance of the hospital as well as oversees internal accounting controls, all areas of receivables management, and other business office systems and procedures to ach! ieve efficiencies in the business office.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
BS or BA in Accounting; CPA and/or FHFMA preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of significant hospital financial experience as a hospital CFO, Controller or Assistant CFO in a larger hospital. Critical Access experience strongly preferred.
Must be capable of supervising general accounting, patient financial services, including registration, billing and collection, budget and pro forma development experience, management info systems and materials management, have comprehension of interaction between finance and operations.
Must have significant experience and knowledge with hospital revenue cycle including HIM and PAS department operations.
Strong leadership, communication and strategic skills.
