Inventory control/distribution/receiving functions experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Formal Education / Training:!
High School Graduate/equivalent
Computer training.
Workplace Experience:
Experienced in inventory control/distribution/receiving functions, preferably in healthcare environment
Equipment and Skills Training:
Basic computer skills to include Excel and WordPerfect. Must have ability to learn job specific computer programs which include mail room equipment.
Good Mathematical and Communication Skills. Strong focus on customer relations
Comprehension and ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Physical Environment:
Medical Center/Hospital/ Storeroom/ off site hospital departments
Shift: Monday â" Friday Days: 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. every 5th weekend 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Physical Effort:
Ability to stand most of the day, physical activity to include walking, standing, stooping and lifting heavy packages up to (50) pounds. Must be able to wo! rk accurately at a fast pace and handle multiple functions sim! ultaneously. Ability to learn several job functions to include, receiving, distribution and bio medical equipment management. Ability to work unsupervised. Must be eligible to drive department vehicle
Job Functions:
Distribution: Restock supply rooms in clinical areas as per par level system in absence of distribution clerk, supply distribution ever 5th weekend, assist warehouse purchasing clerk to determine stock needs, rotate stock, restock warehouse shelves daily, monitor product expiration dates, prepare bar code charge labels, repackage supplies, maintain supply rooms and MM warehouse in clean organized manner. Assist to restock surgery supply rooms, monitor stock levels, notify purchasing agent of potential stock outs and low levels..
Equipment Management: Assist to maintain patient use equipment in good working order to include regular inspections, proper cleaning techniques. Distribute, retrieve patient use equipment. . Order, t! rack, and generate patient charge rental equipment.
Mail room: Assist with outgoing mail routine, in houses mail distribution.
Cross trail to all MM Warehouse positions.
Description:
1. Assists Purchasing to maintain stock levels by reporting potential stock outs, low levels
2. Requires minimal supervision in performance of job duties
3. Assists with supply replenishment
4. Assists in receiving
5. Handles overnight packages in/outbound.
6. Assists with vendor returns
7. Understands how to prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of assigned task
8. Uses Meditech Material Management System accurately
9. Contributes to Department Process Improvement
10. Performs equipment management responsibilities as assigned
11. Practices good safety standards
12. Helps to maintain the warehouse and supply stock areas in a clean and orderly manner
13. Facilitates use of Intellimotion and trains other! s to use
14. Completes other jobs as assigned
15. Works well wi! th others, cooperative, professional attitude, uses proper phone etiquette.
