is currently looking for an
Assistant Nurse Manager â€" Cardiac Prep & Recovery.
Responsibilities:
Assists the Nurse Manager in managing day-to-day operations of the unit, including promoting, supervising and facilitating the provision of safe patient care.
Participates in coaching, counseling, making assignments based on verified competencies, interviewing/hiring of personnel.
Supports the development and implementation of hospital initiatives and new/revised policies and procedures.
Provides direct patient care in addition to the supervisory duties.
Will split work time between direct nursing care and administrati! ve responsibilities
Creates staffing schedules and ensures that staff members adhere to schedule.
Assists Manager in communicating to staff changes in practice/policy as well as new initiatives.
Ensures nursing documentation on patient charts is complete and accurate.
Promotes a cooperative, healthy environment with communication to staff and physicians
Has a role in employee interviewing, counseling, disciplinary process, performance appraisals
Acts as a clinical resource for staff, participates in competency assessment and verification
Supports the facility's Standards of Performance and ICARE values.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is preferred
Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or compact licensure state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
ACLS EP preferred
Three to five years nursing experience required
O! ne to two years supervisory/managerial experience required
Com! puter skills required
Specialty certification preferred
