Nationally recognized for its success with kidney, liver, kidney-pancreas and pancreas transplants, Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute has been a leader in the field for more than 30 years. Nationally, our liver transplant program is consistently in the top 10 largest by volume.
The Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the life expectancy for its organ transplant patients through research breakthroughs, excellence in surgical techniques and meticulous post-operative care. Our program includes an ASTS Accredited Surgery Fellowship.
Responsibilities include pre-operative and post-operative patient care, transplant related surgical procedures, research activity, and resident and fellow education. A competitive salary and benefits program, and relocation assistance is offered.
Required:
ACGME Accredited General Surgery Residency
ASTS Fellowship Training
Experience with liver and kidney/pancreas transplantation
Demonstrated interest and experience in clinical research is essential
Board Certified-American Board of Surgery
The ability to obtain a Tennessee Medical License is also required.
