A 30 bed Ortho/Neuro surgery area plus an additional 30 bed area that provi! des care for a variety of other Post Surgery cases including a 4-8 bed Step Down unit. The nursing models are teams made up of an RN, LPN, and Nursing Assistants. Our environment is very fast paced where patient turnover drives activity. Patient discharges, admissions from OR, ER, ICU, and physician offices make up this activity. A supportive atmosphere which strives to work as a team is our philosophy. Ortho/Med Surg provides great challenges and learning opportunities to department staff. A manager with an open door and easily approachable style can be found on the orthopedic unit. The staff is friendly and supportive and works as a team across all areas of patient care.
